What this site is
This site is informational: it publishes the menu, prices, opening hours, location and the sports we broadcast. We do not sell online and we do not process payments through the site.
Prices and menu
Prices are shown in Colombian pesos and include taxes. We work to keep them current, but they may change without notice and the menu may vary with supply. The price that applies is the one in force at the premises at the time of consumption.
Publication on this site does not guarantee that a particular dish or drink is available at a given moment.
Sports broadcasts
Sports programming depends on the holders of the broadcasting rights and may change without notice. We do not guarantee that any specific event will be shown. If a match matters to you, message us on WhatsApp before coming and we will confirm.
Bookings
Bookings are handled over WhatsApp and are confirmed only when we reply confirming them. A request sent is not a confirmed booking.
Permitted use
You may read, download and print the content of this site for personal use. You may not reproduce it commercially, scrape it automatically, or use it in a way that affects the operation of the site or the rights of others.
Third-party links
This site links to third-party services including WhatsApp, Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Those services have their own policies and we are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.
Limitation of liability
We work to keep the published information accurate and current. If you spot an error we would be grateful if you told us. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding offer beyond what Colombian consumer protection law (Law 1480 of 2011) provides.
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this site, what we use it for, and how long we keep it.
What we collect
This site has no registration or checkout forms. The data we may receive is:
- What you send us on WhatsApp when you write to us: your phone number, your name if you give it, and the content of your message (date, party size, match).
- Technical browsing data recorded automatically by the site and its providers: approximate IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and time spent.
What we use it for
To handle your booking request or enquiry, to arrange a private event if you ask us to, and to understand in aggregate which parts of the site are consulted most, in order to improve it. We do not use your data for automated decisions that affect you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or transfer your personal data. It is shared only with the providers needed for the site to work, acting as data processors:
- The hosting and site platform provider.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), when you choose to write to us through that channel.
- Google, through the use of Google Fonts and the Google Maps link.
How long we keep it
WhatsApp conversations about bookings are kept while they are useful for service and are in any case deleted when you ask. Technical browsing data is kept in aggregate form and does not identify you individually.
Minors
This site is not aimed at minors and does not deliberately collect their data. The establishment is a bar and applies Colombian rules on the sale of alcohol to people over 18.
Data Protection and Habeas Data
The processing of personal data in Colombia is governed by Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013. This section describes your rights and how to exercise them.
Your rights as a data subject
As the owner of your personal data, you have the right to:
- Access, update and correct your data with the data controller.
- Request proof of the authorisation you gave for the processing.
- Be informed about how your data has been used.
- File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce for breaches of the law.
- Withdraw authorisation and request deletion of your data, where no legal or contractual duty prevents it.
- Access your personal data free of charge.
How to exercise them
Message us on WhatsApp at +57 320 798 6833 stating which right you wish to exercise. We answer enquiries within a maximum of ten (10) business days and complaints within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days, under articles 14 and 15 of Law 1581 of 2012.
Authorisation
By writing to us voluntarily on WhatsApp to make a booking or an enquiry, you authorise the processing of the data you share with us for that purpose. You can withdraw that authorisation at any time through the same channel.
Visitors from the European Union
If you write to us from the European Union, the rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also apply: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can exercise them through the same channel.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser to remember something between visits. This site uses very few.
What we use
The site is built as static HTML and sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Third-party cookies may be set when you interact with external services:
- Google Fonts: the site loads its typefaces from Google servers, which means a request from your browser to Google.
- Google Maps: only if you click the link to view the location.
- WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok: only if you click those links.
How to control them
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge the option sits under privacy. Blocking them does not stop you using this site: the typefaces may simply look different.
Intellectual Property
The photographs, text, menu, logo and design of this site are the property of La República Sport Bar or its licensors, and are protected by Colombian copyright law (Law 23 of 1982 and Andean Decision 351 of 1993).
They may not be reproduced, edited or used commercially without written permission. Third-party trademarks appearing in the menu — spirits, beer and sports league brands — belong to their respective owners and are mentioned for information only.
